Why Trust Our Numbers
Every calculator uses the standard industry conversions: 27 cubic feet per cubic yard, 324 square feet of coverage per yard at a 1-inch depth, and the published bag sizes (2 and 3 cubic feet). Our coverage chart documents all of these constants so you can check the math yourself. Results are planning estimates — settling, irregular bed shapes, and supplier measuring practices vary, so we recommend ordering with a 5–10% margin.
